"I have searched the length and breadth of the internet and own a dozen Titanium pens but this has by far exceeded one's expectations. A completed and a finished product that lives up to its hype. I can safely and unequivocally say...Built to last! Must have."

- Amarjeet (AUSTRALIA)
"Penfection! I own lots of pens and was still absolutely blown away by the Type-B. I have read the reviews and originally assumed people were exaggerating a little. Nope. This is the real deal. I feel privileged to own such a wonderful piece of functional art. Thank you CW&T!!"

- Jim S. (USA)

A minimal everyday pen, over-engineered to last generations.

The ultimate pen for illustrators, designers, and architects.

Precision machined to create a piston-like effect between the pen and sleeve. The pen falls slowly and makes a nice popping sound when you pull it quickly from its sleeve.

No visible logo.

Precision machined flat so it won't roll off your desk.

A super minimal everyday pen, engineered to last generations.

The ultimate pen for illustrators, designers, and architects.

The ultra-high machining tolerances between the pen and sleeve create a piston-like effect. The pen falls slowly into its sleeve and makes a nice popping sound when you pull it out quickly.

Pen Type-B has no visible logo.

The brass sleeve purposely doesn't have a coating, so your Pen Type-B can develop its own unique patina over time as you handle your pen.

Titanium Pen Type-B is available with a matte black ceramic-polymer coating (Cerakote). The coating is durable, but over time it will wear to reveal the titanium underneath. We think it gives a kind of cool and rugged feel.

Pen Type-B in titanium weighs almost half the weight of its brass and stainless steel counterpart. It's got the hardness of stainless steel and the lightness of aluminum. That's really hard to beat. Titanium is the ultimate material. Both the sleeve and the pen are made of titanium.

Order a Pen Type-B with a custom laser engraving on the flat surface of the pen sleeve.

Available with an aluminum case.

MADE IN THE USA

Pen Type-B (along with all of our other pens) are manufactured at a multi-generation machine shop in Vermont. Each pen is carefully made above and beyond the necessary tolerances to ensure a perfect fit between the pen and the sleeve. It takes over 20 highly tuned operations to craft a Pen Type-B.

Second Type-B

Have had my first Type-B (brass) for several years, but have always had my eye on the lighter-weight titanium version. Love both of them, use every day. Really love what you folks are doing, keep it up!

AMAZING AND ICONIC PRODUCT

AMAZING, This pen is wayyyy better than the pen type-a. It looks so amazing and beautiful. I love it although it writes poorly but everything is good. It still makes that interesting sound like the type a. Buying this pen is definitely better than buying those expensive pens like parker or waterman. It’s expensive but it is worth its price (if it writes better and supports many refils). Overall, very unique and amazing

Incredibly brittle finishing on the Cerakote version. I can’t recommend it

The cerakote coating is awful, but the pen is really nice. It’s actually amazing and the design is absolutely superb. I really like the pen itself. But the orange cerakote is probably the weakest coating I have ever used on a pen. I’m not tough on my pens (and my Type B even already arrived with a chip on it) and the coating just comes off so easily. For a pen this expensive I hoped for a more durable coating, but after owning for less than 2 weeks, the chip that occurred in shipping has grown and more small chips have appeared. I’d recommend not getting a cerakoted type b but sticking with one of the other choices, even though the orange looks the best. I have many cerakoted pens and none of them are this weak.

About the Pen (type B)

It's great, though I can't in good conscience admit to the price paid to get the Orange Cerakote... but I thrill every time the moment approaches requiring a pen, because you bet I'm gonna draw that bad boy from a pocket with a fluorescent flourish and unsheathe it like Excalibur with a deafening *pop* that precipitates riots, mass hysteria, and embarrassment for my kids.

STOP - This situation needs fixing.

AUGUST 2024 README. This pen is beautful. HOWEVER you need to know: 1. The refills for the pen, as shipped, are no longer available for sale. https://www.jetpens.com/blog/Hi-Tec-C-A-Comprehensive-Guide/pt/629 See the midpoint in this link and as of 2022 the refills are not available. Yet, no update on what CW&T is shipping their pen with! Two years later. 2. The linked refills for the TYPE C pen are widely available, but you need a spacer that IS NOT SHIPPED WITH THIS PEN to use them. And the spacer situation is not linked off the TYPE A TYPE B page either. https://cwandt.com/products/pen-adapter?variant=1483599052815 And I would have no idea how to select it since the actual model is not listed widely using the words on the site. No bueno. Imagine as - as I have - receiving a pen with a faulty first ink cartridge, going on amazon and excitedly buying the type c refill only to discover the only available plan to replace the ink as shipped is to buy a pen, fleece its cartridge, throw out the pen body, and put it in your pen. Or "saw a dowel to the required length"... for a $200 pen? B
