Dream Stem V1
09/2015

This stem was designed in Dreamcatcher and manufactured via direct metal 3D printing. The ultimate goal is to design and manufacture the lightest bike stem on the market by using a generative design process and direct metal printing. This prototype is printed in stainless steel due to the prohibitively high cost of printing in titanium today.

You can read more about the process of designing in Dreamcatcher on this instructable.
Special thanks to the Dreamcatcher team at Autodesk Research and the Pier 9 AiR Program.
