A light fixture for a standard F40T12 fluorescent tube light. The piece intentionally exposes the usually hidden ballast, wires and electrical outlet required for the light to operate.
Instead of coming with a switch, the user is required to plug and unplug it to turn it on and off.

Would love to see the details on this one. I don’t think it is necessarily a hazard, however getting a design like this past UL may be difficult. Let me know if you need any assistance. I am back in Beacon now.
